Elton John Dedicates Sydney Show To His Friend
Elton John has dedicated his show in Sydney to Australian EMI music executive Ken East, who died on the weekend. Before the singer opened the sold-out concert at Sydney’s Acer Arena, Sir Elton John said that the night was a special one as it was the first time the artist had played in Sydney alone. The concert was also special because of the recent death of a good friend of his. Sydney was the 4th stop on the sixty-year-old’s Australian tour, entitled A Knight Under The Stars.
