Indigo Girls are getting ready for a summer tour that will cover New York to California. They finished the Eastern U.S trek last month. The folk-rock singing duo has 26 live entertainments in their schedule. This Grammy award winning girl band will start their tour from Richmond on May 31st and will conclude in Peekskill in New York on 19th July. They will continue to promote “Despite Our Differences”, their 10th studio album.

This album was produced by Mitchell Froom and features Brandi Carlile and Pink. During this summer trek they will visit a number of venues like the Radio City Music hall in New York, Long Beach Terrace Theater & Lincoln Theater in California, Molson Amphitheater in Ontario, Robinson Center Music Hall and Paramount Center for Arts in New York etc. They will also perform in various music festivals like Henry Maier festival in Milwaukee and New port Sunset Music festival. The duo is concentrating on their work with Non-profit organization called Honor the Earth which is dedicated to energy justice for the Native Americans.

The famous musical band Iron Maiden gave a live entertainment to their fans on 14th of March at the Izod center in New Jersey. Their set list contained entirely of glorious classics and the fans were very satisfied with their performance. The show which was mainly for promoting the double DVD set of “Live after Death” was sold out. The huge back drop in the venue reflected the songs which are being performed and also showed different images of “Eddie” their mascot.

They started the show with “Moonchild” and performed some songs which have not been performed for more than 20 years, like “Aces High”, “2 Minutes to Mid Night”, “Wasted Years” etc. During the performance of the “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” an image of old and Haunted ship was shown on the back drop. The Iron Maiden through this live entertainment proved that they are still, really powerful in the field of music.

The British pop star James Blunt is missing his life in the British Army. He feels that life in the British army was much easier than that of his present life as a pop star. James Blunt worked in the Life Guards unit of British Army as an officer and was a part of the peace keeping force of NATO in Kosovo. After his career in army, he embarked on a musical journey with the hit number “You Are Beautiful”. Blunt is not happy about being ridiculed for his posh background in the music industry.

James Blunt said that he was feeling at home with his fellow men in Army as they were never critical about other people and they never cared about his back ground. He also feels that music industry is World’s most judgmental industry. James Blunt is a successor of Danish Royal family, who ruled Denmark during the tenth Century and later started their rule in England.

Elton John, the legend of pop music, has added on half dozen extra shows that he will perform in the US in the middle of the on going “Red Piano” concerts in Las Vegas. The superstar of pop music has just finished performing in North America and is slated to perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace till April 6th. He has included a handful of concerts across the US beginning on April 11th in Missoula and has a second performance at Pullman, WA. He has also decided to perform in cities like California and Florida in his new itinerary that he has released.

Elton John has left the entire month of May free from any tours or concerts and will only perform at the “Top of the Mountain” concert in Austria on May 3rd. He will then return back to Vegas in the month of June and that will be followed by a two week European tour with his band. The Red Piano concert then will head to Europe in November and December for shows in England and France. Elton John has performed at the Caesars Palace for about 50 shows since 2004 and he has signed again this year to treat the Las Vegas audience to the Elton Magic through his famous Red Piano concerts.

Linda Perry, the U.S song writer as well as a singer, claims that the Warner Music Company owes her huge amount of money as royalty from the debut album of singer James Blunt. Linda and James met in the year 2003 and she signed him to produce his album under her label called Custard. Linda gave the debut album of James, “Back to Bedlam” to Atlantic, a Warner subsidiary. Linda has filed a suit in Manhattan Federal Court demanding the lost royalties as well as £2.5 million for damages. The debut album of James Blunt was a hit and it sold over 11 million copies around the world.

The album was able to collect more than £50 million just by the sales. In the lawsuit, it is accused that a multinational corporate company is taking advantage of Custard, a small production company after presenting them with a talented artist. A Warner music spokesperson announced that “Custard” has always been and will continue to be compensated in accordance with the terms of its contractual arrangement with Atlantic. Linda Perry, a former singer of the 4 Non Blondes group, has worked with famous singers like Pink and Christina Aguilera and was able to produce many hits for them.

Madonna, the pop diva who was recently inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame, has said that her new African awareness documentary was the work of her gardener. Madonna says that Nathan Rissman used to do a lot of work for her and was her gardener sometime ago. He was the one person she used to call on for doing any job and he always readily obliges with a smile. Madonna says that Rissman used to be a runner, a gardener, an intern as well a used to take care of her kids. She trusted him because of his very humble nature.

Madonna said that the idea to send him to shoot in Africa came when he sent her movies of her children and he used to make creative and realistic films using the photographs of her children. Madonna asked Rismann to go to Africa to document her film that focused on issues like famine; poverty and dreaded diseases like AIDS are problems that can be resolved with a little bit of effort from the developed nations. Madonna said that Rismann has taken great pains in filming this documentary in Africa and did not complain about the hardships he underwent during the shooting of the film in Malawi, Africa. Madonna says that his sincere efforts have not gone a waste as people have accepted the film with open hearts.

The Posh Spice, one of the five Spice Girls and wife of the famous English soccer international David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, who is eager to be in the limelight all the time, is recently heading the headlines as she spent a whopping 100,000 pounds on a brand new Porsche 911. The new Porsche has her initials on the headrests as well as the wheels. The Posh Spice was seen riding her new Porsche Carerra in Los Angeles and her husband David Beckham also owns a similar car. The VB initials (Victoria Beckham) are clearly visible on the chrome alloy wheels of the car and there are reports that the windscreen of the Porsche also has her initials etched on it.

The Posh Spice, who recently concluded her reunion tour in Canada, by announcing that it was the last show that their fans will see them performing together, has added another car into their garage that is already having many luxury cars like Rolls Royce Phantom, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 575 and a Lamborghini Gallardo. The multifaceted artist, who is a singer, fashion designer and an occasional actress, is also including her signature collection of men’s jeans to her escalating fashion collections. The launch for her new range of men’s jeans is slated sometime in August and will be sold in the retail markets between the price ranges $220 to $285.

Bruce Springsteen has tried to squeeze in a benefit concert in between his busy world tour that he is currently on with the E Street Band. He has given dates to perform on May 7 for the benefit concert to be held at Red Bank, which is New Jersey’s Count Basie Theater. The benefit concert is named as “An Evening with Bruce Springsteen” and the proceeds from this show will be used fully in renovating and restoration of this old theater. The historic theater is almost in ruins and needs serious restoration work to set it upright and functional, and with Springsteen’s wife, Patti Scialfa, on the board of the Basie Foundation, the organizers would not have had much difficulty in signing Bruce to perform at the benefit concert.

The tickets for this benefit concert will be available through an online auction that starts on March 20. Bruce Springsteen is currently on a world tour with the E Street Band and will perform in the U.S till the 29th of March and then head to Vancouver on 31st March. The entire month of April is dedicated to fans all over the US and then they embark on a two month tour of the European countries. The grand finale of the world tour will be held at the New Jersey’s Giant Stadium in July.

Paris Hilton, the great granddaughter of the founder of Hilton hotel chain and who is into modeling and acting is invited to star in a Broadway musical along with Nicole Richie, the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie. Paris is giving a guest appearance in a TV show called “My Name Is Earl” in April this year. Nicole Richie is already got praises for her work on the New York stage. It has been reported that owing to her good performance she was offered a role in a show created by Bob Fosse. Paris Hilton also wants to make it big in the theatre arena and agreed to act in the musical named Chicago.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are long time pals and have acted together in the reality show” The Simple Life” telecasted on Fox TV. Paris Hilton has acted in movies like “Zoolander”, “Pledge this”, “House of wax” and “Raising Helen”. The producers of this Broadway musical expect that they will be able to sell double the number of tickets by having these two celebrities in the Broadway stage. But, Nicole Richie is busy with her new status as mother of Harlow. Though she has regained the slim figure, she is left with a big bust that is still worrying her.

Nicole Richie is totally upset of her bustier figure that she has developed after giving birth to her daughter. The 26 year old adoptive daughter of the famous singer Lionel Richie gave birth to a cute little baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate with boyfriend Joel Madden on the 11th of January 2008. She says that she has got a little bustier after the birth and feels totally uncomfortable with her new look. In an interview to OK magazine, she revealed that her fiancé Joel Madden really likes her new look, but she is of the opinion that the newer bustier look does not suit her wardrobe collection.

Nicole Richie says that she is not at all comfortable wearing a bra and likes wearing classic see through shirts. She now feels that she has developed boobs and hence will not be able to wear her favorite costumes. The “Simple Life” superstar also confessed to the media that she did not know the correct procedure for breast feeding her baby the first time. Her daughter was given to her right after birth and she breastfed the baby for about 35 minutes on one side. It was only after the consulting the doctor that she knew that she had to breast feed the baby from both her breasts.
