The pop diva Madonna has announced a two month North American trek of her “Sticky and Sweet” tour during the months of October and November. The North American leg is slated to begin on the 4^th of October in East Rutherford, New Jersey and will trek across all major cities of Canada and U.S before culminating at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami on the 26^th of November. The North American tour announcement comes in the wake of sell out of tickets in many concert venues. Fans are eagerly waiting to catch the live entertainment that their pop idol will be presenting to them when she will perform in their parts of the woods.

Madonna, the pop diva who was recently inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame, has said that her new African awareness documentary was the work of her gardener. Madonna says that Nathan Rissman used to do a lot of work for her and was her gardener sometime ago. He was the one person she used to call on for doing any job and he always readily obliges with a smile. Madonna says that Rissman used to be a runner, a gardener, an intern as well a used to take care of her kids. She trusted him because of his very humble nature.

Madonna said that the idea to send him to shoot in Africa came when he sent her movies of her children and he used to make creative and realistic films using the photographs of her children. Madonna asked Rismann to go to Africa to document her film that focused on issues like famine; poverty and dreaded diseases like AIDS are problems that can be resolved with a little bit of effort from the developed nations. Madonna said that Rismann has taken great pains in filming this documentary in Africa and did not complain about the hardships he underwent during the shooting of the film in Malawi, Africa. Madonna says that his sincere efforts have not gone a waste as people have accepted the film with open hearts.

Madonna, the famous singer and actor, has now donned on the director’s hat with her new 30 minute short film named Filth and Wisdom. Madonna’s latest offering talks about the story of three friends looking for a brighter and bigger future. Madonna in an interview said that she was happy to be behind the camera and did not need to worry about make up or hair style or wardrobe. Madonna, who unveiled her film at the Berlin film festival, said that the movie is about two things in life: duality and the struggle due to the duality and hence she named the film as Filth and Wisdom.

The main character in the film is played by the New York Gypsy band “Gogol Bordello’s” lead singer Eugene Hutz. All the characters in this film leads a double life and as the director has been trying to figure out the people’s idea of sex all through her life, this film also threads on a similar path. The cast comprises of unknown faces and Madonna says that it is easy to work with people who are unknown and who are not so busy. The film has not gone well with the critics and they feel that it is better for Madonna to continue with her day job and that’s singing.

Pop star Madonna, who is famous all over the world, has further fuelled reports thet she has gone under the knife after she was snapped hiding dark bruises around her eyes with a pair of sunglasses. The Hung Up hitmaker has previously refused to comment on whether she had had plastic surgery after she was photographed last month leaving a New York medical building with two black eyes. And now gossip sites are speculating the singer has undergone more cosmetic treatment, after emerging from her London home on Monday (21Jan08) with bruising to her eyes and cheek.
Anyway, no matter what Madonna does, she will be one of the most successful pop stars in the world ever.
